OUR GENERATION VS RELATIONSHIPS

This generation doesn’t want relationships,
We want late lazy mornings with a cup of coffee,
An Instagram post with friends,
An excuse to use the #relationshipgoals.
We invest more time on tinder profiles than knowing people,
All ‘cause we don’t want a relationship.
We talk, we chat, we snapchat, we sext,
But a real relationship doesn’t seem to happen.
We stay awake till 4 am texting that one person,
Still we’re not sure about a relationship.
We like the idea of love,
Just don’t want to “fall”.
We go grab a coffee or a beer,
Anything to avoid a movie plus lunch date.
We want the illusion of a relationship,
Netflix and chill, friends with benefits is the new thing.
The façade of a relationship is appealing,
No one is interested in the work involved in a relationship.
We don’t want to commit,
Our lives are about having fun and chilling.
We are so involved in our social agendas of updating our FB status,
The amazing person next to us goes unnoticed.
We play hard to get,
It never does seem to end.
The problem is that we actually do want relationships,
The commitments just scare us a little………
Enough to keep us at bay…….
Enough to always be thinking, not living.

LEFT OUT

Craving for attention, Looking to trust. Hoping for better solutions, To the everyday breakdown. The heart and the brain, None with the clue. How to begin? Can anyone be so blue? The emotion incomprehensible, Experience to understand Being left out isn’t bliss. Isolation maybe confused, But your will and their will, That’s where the difference lies. Part of the bloc, are you really? Realizing your mistake, Excess care and love is what you showed. Unbelievable. Yet still thinking, Hope for better or just give up. Being left out isn’t bliss, It’s worse than death. For you live, not alone; But the company of others, Is the reason to live.

STAND OUT

Starting out without a grading system, We were children and oh so happy, Rejoiced every moment, it’s form so pure. Being taught knowledge is power, But never did we know what awaits. What if between the pages of life, There was written “As You Wish”? We were not meant to become a leaf on a tree,  But meant to be unique, Meant to be that strange fruit, The one only curiosity can find. We were not meant to reach the sky, That’s where we were to start. Infinity and beyond, Creating ladders with choices unrestricted. We were not meant to fall in like sheep, We were meant to be the brightest star. Creating craters, Touching everything. Being the jack of all and master of none, That wasn’t for us. We were meant to master all. So hold up, think, Would you like to explore endlessly?

PASSIONATELY CURIOUS

For all I know this too is a part of my dream, a dream called the IDEAL LIFE. Throughout the day I see innumerable successful and content people. I wonder whether there is something that I should be looking forward to in my journey towards satisfaction. Asking myself the same question every day, “What am I passionate about?” Over the many years of my existence, experience told me, for most inhabitants of Earth passion is of utmost importance and the will to go through with achieving what you desire is what being focused is. Now, I ask a very simple question. What if my passion lies not in my heart and mind but my eyes for a different, unusual object? I may not be passionate about machines as an engineer is, or in the history of unbelievable sculptures like a historian or an artist. I say I am passionate about more than one thing, I want to learn something new every day because I have a will to pursue everything possible in one lifetime. No one knows when you may die, so why not...
